Donaven Naidoo: Best review on Go Pro Hero 3 black edition and silver, detail review with
attention to features on camera and specification on modes...Nice work,
Anthony...I gave you thumbs ups. Because I didn't know which camera to buy
on the Go Pro Hero 3 but now I've got my eye the Black Edition Go Pro Hero
DeepOne: Hi, I am looking at the price for black and silver on the amazon and they
are both the same, which one should I get and I need a camera only to
record videos at home for youtube. I am not going to jump from airplanes or
ride motorcicles with it so is that a best camera for my needs? For just
making home videos, video lectures? thank you! A friend who is into cameras
suggested I gopro and I'm just checking with pros.... thanks P.S. Just
curiouse what kind of Camera did you use to record this video?
InfernoHD: hi. I am looking into buying a go pro. I will be using it for recording
video of myself pro ducting music on my music rig in my bedroom. What would
you suggest I buy the silver or the black? there are features on the black
that are appealing but is it really worth the extra money?
David Bouchard: if he wasn't reading that off a teleprompter, then I'm totally impressed
with his knowledge of the product and he'll never have a problem with
employment. no pauses or excuses.....................good job Anthony
Deutsch Draht: For hunting and using the camera on my hunting partner with the new "fetch"
harness I am considering the Silver Edition. No professional filming
needed, just "weekend warrior" stuff. However I could be convinced to go
for the Black. However, one item I did not see addressed is the hardware
requirement to support the video storage and editing. How much space do
these videos and software typically occupy and are there any concerns for a
typical Windows laptop. Crazy to buy the fancier version only to find out
my computer will not (sufficiently) support the requirements. What
concerns should I have, if any?
Harley Rider: Great explaination.
Ghana Freshhh: Which one should I get for recording sports? Taking regular shots & using
them for youtube videos. I plan on using the chest strap a lot during
James Bowmar: Whats the diffrence with motocross edition
Carlyle's Picks: Silver prosumer black pro? LOL All GoPros are prosumer.
zackman2691: does anyone have insight on which model would be good for being in the
water a lot
Andy B: Need help deciding which go pro3+ to go with, i'm looking into the more
dark lite concert type of camera with a decent mic. i wont be editing as
much. PLEASE HELP!
Harley Rider: How long can you record at 1080?
Marites Howard: The GoPro Hero 3 is easy to operate in the standard video and photo modes and takes excellent pictures even in less than optimal light conditions.
Boodz G: Excuse me now I need a little bit of help please what should I buy Black or
Sliver please answer me
william delgado: quick question the usb cable for the silver is the same as the black
Mister Xman: Thanks. That was very informative. I am going to buy a black one in the
next day or two hopefully.
Bang Baco: Still don't know what to buy Hero3+ silver or black Ed..pleAse help me
Sean .D: BRO, Do you even lift?
Boodz G: And is the case water proof ?
Scott Lincoln: Dude, great vid. Very informative. RevZilla is up and coming!
radgiegadgie: Excellent comparison. Cheers!
Power Sports: I wanted to know the differences from silver to black edition and this
video was all I needed! Black Edition it is! Thanks for the info!
Alicia Meneses: When I received it I was expecting to have a normal video quality but how WRONG I really was. Quality is just amazing. Just look for the video "MTO On water in Boca del Rio, Veracruz Mexico". There you will be able to see what I mean. Just unbelievable at 1080 Super. I am really happy with this tiny gizmo.
ocharni: still unsure about the hero 3...lost my hero 2 when the mount broke and
despite the good picture quality the camera itself was buggy as hell. at
times it would just stop recording for no apparent reason. overheating also
was an issue.
currently looking into the garmin virb..got some pretty nice features and
it outperforms the gopro as far as image quality goes in low light as well
as extremely bright situations.
GoPro sucks! Their slogan “The Worlds Most Versatile Camera” is a joke. I
have had four GoPro Hero 3, all have been defective and produce unusable
video. The following is a recent email from GoPro customer support
acknowledging that they are full aware that their product is defective.
“….Thank you for sending me that video. After reviewing the videos you have
submitted to us, speaking with our engineering contact and revisiting your
earlier cases we have concluded that the flickering you have seen present
in all of the cameras you have had is an effect of the camera adjusting to
dramatic light changes in the frame.
The reason this has been present in your replacements because it is a
behavior that will be present in any of our cameras. As the camera adjusts
to the dark fields of shadows and trees, the moderately lit blue sky, and
the bright white snow it is constantly adjusting to the amount of light in
the frame. The adjustment of the camera to these changes looks dramatic,
but the changes in the amount of light in the frame are dramatic.
Skiing on a sunny day unfortunately produces some of the most challenging
lighting changes of any activity and any conditions. I believe you would
not see this flickering in more stable light conditions with your camera.
This effect is more visible on the HERO3 White Edition, but it will be
present in any of our cameras especially in the conditions that you are
using them in….” GoPro Customer Support
I recommend not to waste your money or time on GoPro prodcuts. They may
have a very large marketing budget and were the one of the first players in
the action camera niche, however their product knowingly full of flaws.
Yournayati nayati: Is the remote waterproof?
motive: Awesome review !! Super solid !
Peter L: hey guys, I am debating between the silver or black editions. I don't need
the extra editing capability but the remote and superview would be nice.
It seems you can do most of the stuff on your phone app that you can do
with the remote. And for the remote to work, you need to leave the wifi
turned on which will drain your battery. Is that correct? I think I can
get a lot of good accessories for the $100 I would save with the silver
Itzholmes: I really don't think for an average Joe can't tell the diff between 11&12
mp. Also, I see that the contrast in the black is a bit in the plus side
BUT it is a bit sharper than the silver. So for an average Joe like me
spending that extra $100 and will never use those extra features ......
Nah. Give me silver please !
Brandon Porhola: I like it!
Velotrol daka: AWESOME review, thank you!
Miller Time: I guess I'm technology retarted since I have no idea what you are talking
about. ... You need slow down when you speak!!
john micallef: GO PRO is and always will be the daddy of action cams..! i have a hero 2HD
ROLI cam. the go pro just kick ass..! but if you are a bit broke or low on
cash the roli is not bad.. and now days there are so many cams out there
but GO PRO will always be the best..!!!
Michael Weston: crapty battery life
Kelly Kerwin: I am looking to buy one of the GoPro 3's to film during paintball games,
Any suggestions on which would suit what I am using it for best? I just
don't want to over spend on something that will be over kill for what I am
using it for. Thanks for your time!
Leorent Kelmendi: I was confused which one to buy ,finally I got Hero 3 Silver check this
Welcome to Peja's Park | GoPro Full HD
kaljuhyypio: Very good indeed, could you do Sony HDR-AS15?
cj09jr: Nice comparison and review....one of the best I've seen.
Steven Wyatt: Useful review, thanks. Does it support external power source, i.e. wire it
into the bike rather than battery?
kingofsteezyness: Which one do you think would work better for making freestyle skiing edits?
Callum au: you got it wrong, its actually 120fps in 1080 and 240fps in 720 on the
black and 60fps in 1080 and 120fps in 720 for the silver
SilviaSchool: Great review, thanks. Just bought the silver ed.
RevZilla: While the newer GoPros are several big steps forward in this regard, they
are still at an overall disadvantage for low-light conditions. They are
automatically adjusting your ISO as you shoot, so you'll end up with some
grainy footage if you force the ISO into overdrive with low light
conditions. Again, better than the last generation, but not great
recommendation if indoors or low-light is your primary use. -CK
mitchell2820: i love go pro!
RevZilla: The curvature was so slight on the Hero2, I can't imagine at high speeds
there will be a huge difference in water droplet migration between the 2
Drew Sherwood: I just purchased a silver and the remote is not included.
RevZilla: Awesome! Keep us posted on how you like it. We are very impressed with both
new versions. ~Ali
RevZilla: GoPro has a number of options that you can purchase separately, aside from
the 3M mounts and included hardware. I would recommend the Handlebar Mount
Kit or Suction Cup mount as excellent solutions. -CK
Kyra Pennington: Is this waterproof and what mount would you recommend for Wakeboarding??
