Stakin Mac: I HAVE THIS SAMNE KODAK CAMERA N THE ZOOM IS VERY SHAKY IT COULD OF BEEN BETTER THE CANON IS WAY BETTER ME
Rodney Just: Also, if you switch the Z990 to Manual mode you can zoom in further =)
Gennadiy K.: i like Kodak.
Fernando Damian Ene: The electronic IS in the SX40 is great!
I've filmed with full zoom without tripod and the video isn't shaky!!
Zingo TheIncredible: First you don't need a ton of MP. You can look online if you want. The other thing is that the Kodak is $100 cheaper than the Canon. (:
Mike Teich: Obviously I meant to say 28 x 30 = 840 for the Kodak.
Mike Teich: I agree. These videos are very biased to make the Z990 appear worse than it is. The presenter of the video is rather disingenuous.
HERE IS THE TRUTH: The MAXIMUM ZOOM on both cameras is 840mm!!!!! Both have the same maximum close-up! The Canon has a 35X zoom because its range is from 24mm to 840mm (24 x 35 = 840) while the Kodak has a 30X zoom because its range is from 28mm to 840mm (38 x 30 = 840). The Canon has a wider view when zoomed-out but they both have the same maximum zoom.
WorldOfRandomStuff: Actually, the Canon zoom is 35x and the Kodak zoom is 30x.
nfajardo: obviusly. canon zoom is 40x kodak is only 30x. with only 12MP on fotos.
WorldOfRandomStuff: How is that biased? Do your own tests and you will see. I set these up in the same spot, same time of day, did various tests. Big difference for me was how shaky the Kodak got at its full zoom, whereas the Canon was much steadier. I love Kodak...very simple, great photos, but I wanted a great camera for video as well so the Canon was a better choice.
Tony T: Biased!
Артем Честных: Ну дык сравнили буй с пальцем... Разница в цене-то ощутимая.
