brody simpson: I mean why wouldn't you want these things!! Um Maybe because I don't have
600 k $ laying around to buy a garage door opener that's the price of a
home ok put it this way my house is not worth that much cash that's half a
million $$ for a garage door opener 😳
tin tran: I got a problem with Chamberlain garage opener, that is new, about 6 months
after installation; It was fine for 6 month and last night when I press
swith to open
it,the garage door raises about 1 foot then close,I tried coupje time it
thing,Would you please tell me what is problem with that and please tell me
how to fix it.Thanks
Timothy Taylor: Love the video, but here are some of my thoughts on the wireless remote
1. I prefer the mini remote to go on the keychain over the wireless remote
to go inside the car. Most modern cars have these built in.
2. Smart devices (iPhones, also iPods and iPads and android devices) can
also open/close the openers so the wireless remote openers won't be used
Heritage Garage Doors Northwest: One of my favorites.. I Install these for $440 each +tax.
Quiet, Smooth, and Dependable!!
Rami Al-Shoubaki: Can you connect this to any camera for video monitoring?
whommee: man you are too damned long winded,,,, just stop all the bs and tell just
about the door opener.. It is amazing ,, but you wear someone down
listening to all your flapping of your gums.
Zay Buckley: Sooooooooooooooooooo many parts😱

0x5347: Dry or cold fingers have nothing to do with touch screen. Its a capacitive
screen. The app is likely buggy.
DukeLaCrosse20: Way cool. I have a vacation home in another state which I would like to be
able to open the door to allow my neighbors in from time to time. The
internet capability would be perfect.
tiggfigg: Just ordered one of these with the chain drive because of fitment issues.
Jon Kensy: So glad to see this on Geek Beat! I am actually a geek and avid car
enthusiast and just got done building my garage up (which has racedeck
flooring, dual 27" monitors on a core i5 4670k desktop, and 120"
workbench/toolbox with LED lighting lol...). I am thinking of getting this
opener but wanted to know if theres anything needed to do if putting it on
a conventional tension spring garage door vs what is seen in the video
here. Thanks guys!
David M: I just had this garage door opener installed, and I couldn't be happier.
Best money I ever spent! I recommend it. Even my installer was impressed by
its compactness and ease of installation.

Jim Bob: More garage videos
Zack Lee: Sick video!
Matt Vessey: Does this opener require a time to break in? I installed one and it jerks
as it's going down the last 12 inches before it closes. A garage repair guy
said it just needs to break in. It runs very smooth except for the end when
Melvin Farris: Installed this about a month ago. I have installed chain drive and screw
drive garage door openers in the past. By far this was the easiest door
opener I have ever installed. The only issue I had was figuring out where
to locate the cable tension sensor without it being in the way of the door
as it lifts. (Has to be mounted very high up) After that everything went
quickly. Great door opener and cannot recommend this opener enough.

KAM1138a: I had a direct drive opener (two actually) and while I loved it, one of
them failed 3 times and the other twice. I've had to abandon them.
However, it was a much more finicky and less robust design. The model I
had mounted in the center of the shaft and was a total pain.
This model looks much better, and I always wondered why they didn't just
put a drive on the end like this one.

Jake Andersonm: Jeez John Pozadzidea, you must be pretty darn wealthy. You live in the

Razor2048: It seems really cool, bot the android and iOS control, does it offer a
bypass function, for example suppose the servers were to go down, will it
allow you to use a direct connection, or use something like dyndns in order
to deal with dynamic IP's so that the device can be used if the servers
were to ever go down?
patrick bear: starting to remind me of This Old House--not as interested in your garage
remodel as GeekBeat.
tgfunky: one thing to note, if you have the battery back up and you're using the
adapter for homelink, if there is a power outage you're car WON'T open the
door,you'll still need the remotes.

seen all this tech which I might add you don't see on other tech sites but
is of great interest to so many. Thank you John for sharing and I can't
wait for more welding as well as tech in the near future, great job John
someone has to do it 😆
