steven weir: hey i have a question im not sure if you would know the answer but my
cousin has the G62 laptop and he tried to open it up to clean the fan and
when he couldnt get it open he just put it the screws back in and powered
it on and when he turns it on you can hear the fan running the hard drive
running and he led lights flashing but the screen is just black do you know
how to fix this?
Carlos Silva: Today my ATI graphics of my HP G62 b10sp died...I can only work in safe
mode using the INTEL GPU. i was searching a way to replace it...but cant be
done at home we have to replace the entire motherboard...what a bad laptop
I have an old Laptop assembled in Portugal (Tsunami Speeder 259) with an
ATI Radeon 9700 pro 256mb that is working from 2005 until now...this HP g62
only last 2 years and 6 months...
Loisitah sistah: Hey I got passed that issue I previously posted but now my laptop is not
showing up the Internet signal (though Internet is still working on it) and
the keys ,MNKJHIUY won't work...feeling screwed atm any idea what this
Loisitah sistah: Hey thanks for this vid but I can't seem to take out the circuit board I
have taken all the screws out it it feels like I have to force it open...I
am afraid of snapping it!
Jeroen van Pelt: Great video! This will help me get my HP G62 laptop opened up to see what
made it stop charging and essentially not feeding any power to the laptop.
Hope it's just a broken DC jack...
rekvel: Brilliant! Thanks a lot regazzz!!! I had a dead power jack (inside the
laptop) and this helped me dot it! Without this I might have broken
something, as one easily misses a screw sometimes and brakes stuff trying
to pry it open. Thanks again!
regazzz: if it is overheating, it can be a dirty fan/heatsink
finnstroll: Sorry nevermind, it came out. After several minutes of just rotating it
finally gave way. The screw was twice the length of the other ones at the
edges, probably me just having put back the wrong screw after having opened
sabat bama: wonder if i can replace g62's graphic card????
regazzz: This screw on the edge? What you mean stuck? Not rotating at all? Or
rotating but not coming out?
jksp33: Hey thanx for your prompt response. Yah, I kinda thought it was located
there at the bottom. Don't know why HP make things so dumb that you have to
practically take everything apart just to get into replacing a simple
battery. HP sucks! I have a Toshiba 4 yrs now, not even a problem. No, this
HP does not start now with or without the battery and adapter. It's just
dead, no light, nothing. I know battery and adapter is fine. It was working
fine after a few reset, but now just won't start.
regazzz: Do you see any lights blinking like battery charging etc, or it is
completely not reacting to anything?
regazzz: You know, it is completely up to you. If you have a type of motherboard
that allow you to remove CPU, you may try a different CPU.
AKs for all: Hi guys, I 've got the exact same issue with my HP G62 A10EV. One day I
opened the lid of my laptop, fan strarted working but my screen was blank.
I connected the laptop to my TV and I could see the Windows interface. I
tried to hard reset my computer and it worked for the first couple of
times. Now my laptop reacts randomly, sometimes the screen works, some
other it doesn't. I took my laptop to a technician who told me that my
graphics card is the issue and i have to replace the motherboard.
David Fernández: Thanks a lot for your work. It helped me a lot. My G62 it's not working
fine... The startup test told me that the primary battery is KO but if I
take it out and plug the AC adaptor the laptop starts correctly but in 3 o
4 minutes the laptop lost the power and BLUFFFF... Don't know what it is...
maybe motherboard. I've opened the laptop with your instructions but I
don't see anything wrong. The laptop don't get hot in any moment. Really
regazzz: it's Bluetooth
que usar pasta termica no meu processador e chipset. voce podereria me
regazzz: If now after same reset it is not working finally ... I would say there is
no other choice...
Washiez: Can I upgrade my video card on a G62?
regazzz: Only you need to decide, open it up or not :) I hope everything will be
regazzz: No, sorry.
jksp33: Hey, that's a great video. Helps me a lot in getting into my HP G62-374CA I
have a question if you can help me. My computer won't turn on for no reason
one day. I followed the HP help troubleshoot remove battery reset. Worked
once but no more. No lights, nothing.I know it's not the battery or adapter,
but, I noticed my computer clock has been wrong recently before it died.
So, I assume it must be the RTC or CMOS battery. You think that could be
the cause? If so, what's the quickest way get to it.
franknwalters: That was one very good tip... Thanx! Best regards my friend...
regazzz: It is not replaceable, unless you will replace a whole motherboard...
alienkishorekumar: Thanks dude. You replied real quick.
LeJarz: I meant CPU sorry.
regazzz: Nope, GPU is soldered/glued to motherboard...
MrToxicstone: No need to be sorry, you do not work for me :P Anyway, yes it is, last time
i open up a battery i cracked the whole outer shell on it so it could not
be put togheter.
regazzz: Probably no.
jin kenneth: sir...can g62 will support external graphics card??
Raimondas Dubosas: Hello, maybe someone could help me? I have HP G62 laptop, and there are few
elements fried in the motherboard. I need to replace them, but I can't
identify them. All I know is just numbers in motherboard near them. PQ35
and PQ36. They are near battery connector and I think they are mosfet
HypedPenguin: is it possible to upgrade cpu and video card on this
regazzz: Yes, for gaming - better to get gaming laptop or computer.
regazzz: Надо было использовать вилку и ложку, топор и кувалду :)
regazzz: Hello, you will need to remove a whole motherboard...
alienkishorekumar: I need to buy these tools, i'm having the exact same laptop and it has heat
sink problem probably due to dust. Can you tell the names of the tools
EUStormbreaker: Yo thanks for this bro i was looking for a video to know if i can change my
gpu and now i know that i cant :/ . Anyway good job and thanks for this
video , u have my like!
regazzz: They are a different size. Be careful. There is no problem ones you will
take a A4 page and place all screws how they was in the case bottom, than
another A4 for palm rest, another one for motherboard and everything inside
a laptop. Don't mix them. Have a good luck!
David Rodrigues: My G62 Is not functional at the moment. Blank screen, Caps lock light
blinking. According to the HP support website it is giving me Blink code 1
which means CPU is fried. This system is 3 years old is it worth it to try
and repair or just scrap it? I am not 100% comfortable in dismantling a
laptop even after watching this video but if it is easier than it looked
I'm willing to give it a try
regazzz: gpu is soldered to a motherboard. CPU is under heatsink.
termyst: Да,при виде того,чем работает этот товарщ,отпадает всякое желание нести на
профилактику,или,не дай бог в ремонт к таким мастерам!
finnstroll: That screw at 2:32 won't come off! It just gets loose and then it's stuck.
I know this sounds ridiculous but ideas anybody? I'm using a PH00 SNCM 2.0
detachable manual screwdriver if this helps.
Joseluis Benavides: hi kotsios.... i have the same exact problem. lights, fan ok but only black
monitor..... were you able to solve it?
LeJarz: I would like to change the GPU what i7 type gpu would I have to get?
TheShanksme: is there a graphics card attach to the mother board and where r the
iceandfire44: Having a loose wire seems to fit the symptoms that when I tip the computer
backward, it starts crackling near the fan, like something is hitting it.
I'm more concerned that I loosened the fan itself and it will need
replacing or something.
regazzz: You are welcome!
regazzz: Hello, thanks for comments! CMOS battery is on the other side of the
motherboard. You need to do pretty much same what is done in that video,
but stop after you will remove a motherboard. It is a pretty complex
process and if you will do that for a first time, just find out the basic
things - how to and what to do and what not. Does your laptop start without
battery, only on power?
