1A Auto Parts: @filmkid20 Usually on the backside of the glass there's either tape, a ball
or these little fingers that kind of hold them in place. We have the mirror
glass available to us for the Nissan Altima. If you would like a price on
it just reply and I'll send you the price. Hope this helps.
Bobbalooey: I have a 1997 Nissan Altima that seems to be a little more involved to get
to the actual harness plug. My husband is saying he has to take the door
panel off is that true?
Stan Beranek: EXACTLY what I needed. Thanx.
1A Auto Parts: @RGB7005 We currently do not have an auto repair video on this particular
vehicle. However the basic steps needed to remove the side view mirror on
your 93 should be very similar. Hope this helps you out.
longbodie11: Thanks for video! What is that tool to open three bolts? Is it called " Nut
Driver 10mm (3/8") " or something else?
scott lacan: Awesome video, just changed my mirror out in less then 5 min ...
kim p: Does this video help for my Nissan Altima 2009 model? I would really really
appreciate it if you get back to me in regards of this :) Thank you!
blackasiantennis: Thank you! You helped me save A LOT of money!!!!
filmkid20: Quick question what if you want to change the actual mirror inside how can
you take it with a new piece of glass
1A Auto Parts: It may be similar. On some vehicles you have to remove the door panel to
get the trim piece off of the side view mirror, so that you can get at the
eddiemaiden72: Hi, before I start pulling my car apart, would this work for a 2001 Nissan
Primera, Im presuming that the Altima and Primera are basically the same
car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
asif105878: Well when I was trying to replace my side mirror I found out that the old
one was actually working. Just the connector was lose. Silly me
1A Auto Parts: @carazycutiekim The basics should be the same, such as you would more than
likely need to remove the door panel, to remove the side view mirror.
pjh0636: This was really helpfull thank u
asif105878: Do I have to disconnect the battery?
gibwise: I have a 1996 Maxima, is the change out basically the same? My main
question is there any reason for me to have to remove the door panel?
1A Auto Parts: You're welcome. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Awesome In Black: hi, what about removing the door panel driver side on a nissan sentra 06
1.8? Some tryd to break into my car the other night and they puchd a hole
under the key hole on driver side so im planing on covering up that hold
but need to take off the door panel.
JR1225: Thanks you. You saved me a lot of stress and money.
1A Auto Parts: @amphib2007 Thnakss for the comment, glad to help. Just FYI you probably
could have got a brand new one, with a warranty, from our site for about
the same money.
amphib2007: OMG! I was looking for a video like this for a long time!!! I was going to
buy a brand new mirror unit from Nissan (over $175) until I saw this video.
Instead, I went to the junk yard and bought a used one for $50, bought some
paint and supplies ($50), which cost me a total of $100 to completely
finish and install it because someone hit and destroyed the three screws
with nuts of the original one my car came with. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! IT WAS
MUCH EASIER THAN EXPECTED!!!!
RGB7005: how does this method differ from a 93 altima?
mark samurat: Like it
Skiffleboom: Thank you, very helpful video.
polydisperse: You guys are awesome for putting up this video. I was able to replace my
mirrors (2000 Altima) with no trouble at all.
1A Auto Parts: @longbodie11 It is a socket ratchet and extension. The bolt size is 10mm.
The 3/8 is the size of the square drive gear on the ratchet. So to put is
simply you need a 10mm socket with a small ratchet and extension.
zdmjack: Thank you. It helps me a lot
Loveplains: Thanks for your help.. it is very helpful
Gajanan Kulkarni: Quick question: when we unplug the harness switch, there involves a button
which needs to be pressed and then pulling as mentioned in the video at
about 1.10 mins. Where is this button actually located? how can i press it?
clovagZv: nice informative vid.
1A Auto Parts: @polydisperse Thank you for checking out our Nissan Altima power mirror
1A Auto Parts: The button is on the wire harness going to the mirror. You'll see it once
you're in there. Hope this helps you out.
angelofdawn11: thank you so much for the video! you helped a student save some money.
1A Auto Parts: If you can't access the bolts to remove the mirror without taking the door
panel off, you would need to remove the door panel to change the mirror. We
carry new side view mirrors for your 1996 Nissan Maxima with free shipping
on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
1A Auto Parts: @Bobbalooey Yes, certain options will have a longer harness. Unfortunately
at this time I don't have the door panel removal video.
1A Auto Parts: You don't have to, but it also doesn't hurt to disconnect the battery
whenever working on anything electrical on the vehicle. 1aauto.com
Greyfoxx08: @1aauto Same for the 96 Altima. You have to take the door panel off. Still,
your video was very helpful!
1A Auto Parts: @dgr89cof You would need to remove any of the trim bezels with screws that
hold the door panel on, and then remove the door panel with a putty knife
or door panel removal tool. On the backside of the door panel there are
plastic push pins that fasten the door panel to the door of the car. Hope
