Robert Foster: so many things wrong with this video. 1. - Wii remotes cost around $45 ~ $55 dollars depending on location of purchase..... not $4 2. - Touch screen is suppose to use your fingers ((Thats why its called TOUCH screen)) because you touch the screen to operate it, not pen screen......... 3 - The blue tooth adapter cost between $2 ~ $5 dollars by itself and in some places a few dollars more depending where you buy it. 4. - The infrared pen is around $6 dollars more or less.
its a sorta nice idea, but you screwed up in properly describing the video & also the actual way you did it. - thats why you are getting so many thumbs down on the video. nice try though, best of luck...
MauriatOttolink: I'm sure that this will be quite interesting when this guy has learned to speak English. I have played and replayed and re-run "What you need is" so many times that I've worn the letters off my keyboard and my fingertips are bleeding. What the hell is he saying? When are you Americans going to get down to it and learn to speak English?
Tangobaldy: or use a mouse that works.
Ellen Candler: I have my touch screen toshiba portege m750, which I absolutely love. I have and HP Pavillion 23 that I think would be a good candidate for something like this, since I like the touch screen so much. It makes doing a lot of things so much easier. I first used one at work, and I would come home to my pc, and would be poking at the screen, because I'd been using touch screen all day already. I had to readjust my way of thinking when I got home, because there was no touch screen at home. I was very fortunate with my toshiba. I almost feel like I stole it from fry's electronics in Phoenix. $279 plus tax. I didn't even know at first that it was a touch screen. I didn't know that the screen would move to turn it into a tablet either. I just saw a small laptop, with windows 7 in it. I hated 8 and vista. Apparently, Vista was initially in this, and it went back to the factory to have 7 installed. When I realized all the features included in this laptop, I was and still am, totally amazed.I've had it for over 1 1/2 years, and I'm still finding out different things that it does. I regress...I need to try this on my HP. Then I'll truly have the best of both world...My big desktop, and my little laptop both being touch screen. Thank you for this video...I really appreciate the information.
Ben Silverman: Does this guy know how much a wii remote costs? Especially six years ago. Little hint: It is not $2.
simon hare: Thats pretty cool! Got all of these things kicking around to try this. Maybe some altering of windows settings could allow for a left OR right click dependant on the time the IR is held in one area? Just a guess that one. But, if possible, this has many possible applications... Massive fun on a big projector screen too, unless the IR return beam gets blocked somehow.... Ah well, i guess we've moved on with camera's and gesture sensing etc.
TamezTech: maybe not what I expected, but really good job! Im so amazed by this actually I may even consider it! as I said awesome job!
