steelydan133: I need help in how to replace the storage box with the sliding shutter on my 98 E39. Doesn't look like it has any screws to it, but not sure how to take it out. It is the black box underneath the armrest with a sliding shutter that goes up and down. Thanks
John Henley: Why is it...none of my stuff ever comes out so easily. Instead of cup-holders, I have a small storage bin and it just does not want to come out. I feel like I'm gonna break whatever is holding it in place, tabs, etc...
Szymon Godowski: can you do video how change the coin box in e39 ?
Stuart Glass: Hey thanks for this, got the part from Pelican. My 2003 car has a sliding armrest and open compartment instead of cup holders, which took a little persuasion to get out. Then in addition to the Phillips screws I had two nuts to remove off bolts holding the top in. Then I had to slide the mechanism to expose all the torx screws, 2 under little removable caps. Built really well I must say. Now looks a s$%t load better.
George Patton: Thank you so much for this video! I was able to put in the new handle no problem. For those whose cupholders or storage cubbies are not loose, I found that a small thin putty knife did the trick prying each side loose.
craig matthews: You do a great job sharing information and teaching others "how to do" things ourselves - thanks very much. It was a simple job to replace the recessed handle on the center console for my 2003 BMW 525i. I told myself before I started the work I had to have a plan and take my time so I didn't ruin anything in the process causing myself grief and probably additional cost - thanks again - the new part looks great!
Revoe Lucion: Yesterday, I performed the poor-man's fix for this issue. I took a rag and got some friction and heat into that trim piece until it took off the remainder of the rubberized coating. It's now shiny plastic, but the money saved will buy the parts to fix the pixelated MID and gauge cluster.
emwa3d: am amazed how BMW parts has got ALL these parts until now even this thing. I can restore mine to new condition but that will cost me leg+arm
Snake: what size torx?
Jay Reese: Thank you thank you very helpful. Was wondering on how to replace the cupholder and also found out on how to replace that piece as well. Great job Ryam
sherrell council: he did it again great video.
c-record: if the handle piece lifts 'up' and 'out' is the disassembling and removal of the sliding try necessary?
c-record: i just bought a 540i and the interior is pretty nice EXCEPT for that handle. i'm gonna order the part and replace it this week. thanks for posting!
Quicksilv3r: Excellent. Thanks for this. I was unaware that part was individually available for our cars (figured we were stuck buying a new armrest). Mine is in similar condition. :)
ktfx5: @E39Source I know but the video looks a little blurry. But its still helpful lol. I <3 my BMW!
twalker294: Fantastic -- just ordered mine from ECS. Thanks Ryan!
ktfx5: This is pretty helpful but the quality is just a tad low.....

Barlo Partakaswan: It IS that easy. mrcali68: @crystalship1967 I actually just found a picture online and then ordered it from my iPhoto. Evan Arnold: Check out my review of this drink while playing Super Mario! FreemanFilms: Fantastic footage! Today the x4 is £50 and 808#16 £30 = £80 ($123) 10 years ago it would have cost more like £1000 ($1543) to get this quality aerial footage! Amazing! Thanks for posting :-) RaduPhantom: don't waste your time. it's a survey Alex Chedea: too many bugs in Rig N Roll, bad sound, only MP/H, from 0-60 the truck goes faster than a car and the steering wheel sucks.. that's the reason why ETS 2 is better Mike Cat: Should defiantly make more of these videos! Want to hear about Xul
